So I can’t eat meat, just fruit and vegetables, sound boring? it really doesn’t have to be! In today’s current world, almost anything is achievable, we can recreate foods and find alternatives so there isn’t really a reason for us not to be compassionate human beings. You may feel as though you can’t do without your favourite meals but this blog is to educate you a little further as to what is available.

Veganism. Are we really meat eaters?

It is easy to say that the human being is a genuine meat-eater, most people will tell you it has been this way since the beginning of man. We are told we are carnivores and meat eaters. What you may not be aware of is the fact that physiologically, the human body is actually 100% herbivorous?  The length of our intestines are somewhere 7 to 13 times the length of our torso, our trunk. The same length as all herbivore animals on this planet. The length of intestines on real meat eaters such as bears, lions, hyenas and tigers are only 3-6 times the length of their torso. I believe it is impossible for any genuine meat-eater to clog their arteries due to the digestive system. This differs in human beings as we see a lot of cases of heart disease caused by clogged arteries. Thus being the highest death rate in the U.S by some margin. There are more obvious differences between genuine meat eaters and human beings such as the human body has skin which will cool itself down with sweat where as dogs, lions and tigers etc will pant. A bigger difference, the human body does not have sharp claws, to catch its prey or sharp teeth to tear through flesh. A very simple trait of the carnivore. Human beings have small flat rounded teeth which is, yes you guessed it, something all herbivores have, ideal for eating plants, fruits and vegetables.

Yes we do have canines, small ones for biting through fruits such as apples.

A simple challenge for somebody who believes, yes, of course I am meat-eater. I challenge you to find a squirrel and put your carnivore speed into action, catch the squirrel and eat it. No weapons, no tools, no cages and then eat it, no don’t cook it, eat it raw as a true carnivore, all of it, the eyes, nose, mouth, fur, inner organs, face. My second challenge is this, find a 2-year-old child in a crib, in the crib, place a live bunny rabbit and an apple, if the child eats the bunny rabbit and plays with the apple we can all confirm that the human being is a genuine carnivore with natural, not learnt, instincts.

Veganism. The animal Holocaust.

Is slavery, ownership, domination, exclusive to the human race? Have black people, Jewish, women and children not only been victim to this atrocity? So then what about cows, chickens, pigs, birds and fish, are they not victim to slavery? When black people were sent over on cramped ships and forced into slavery and the Jewish were reduced to concentration camps do we really think they were treated fairly and within their rights? This brings me to a slaughterhouse, the key word in the name, slaughter.

We are led to believe in the humane killing of animals, what exactly is a humane killing? I sure don’t think that suffocating, stabbing and dismemberment are that of humane killing because there is no such thing. This is a term used by the propaganda of the meat and dairy industry to make it less brutal and more acceptable for consumption. Using propaganda, user-friendly images such as Molly Moo the cow can pull the wool over most people’s eyes.milk2milk

Is this not a holocaust of the animal species? How do you define a holocaust, the killing of a mass number of human beings or innocent beings? When did we become to hate animals and make fun of the entire existence.

I believe specialism is learned, just as racism or sexism. When we are young we love animals and we would do anything to protect them, we couldn’t bear the thought of someone being cruel to an animal. It is amazing how a video of a cat or a dog being abused will cause so much distress to the viewer that feel passionate enough to be in outrage.

It is socially unacceptable to be cruel to animals we are fond of and find cute, there are even charities fighting the cause!. You can’t tell me that every part of the animal serves a function, apart from the brain. These animals feel fear, pain and suffering, they don’t want to be slaughtered, and they want to live just as you and I.

I blame ignorance; people do not want to know the process as to what happens for their meat to end up on their plate. We don’t like the idea of animals suffering so we pretend it doesn’t happen, but it is happening, it is happening to billions of animals every year. Let’s get real and understand what is happening behind closed doors. My question to you is, if this is not good enough for your eyes then is it good enough for your stomach?

Why we believe in the English national team.

No matter who turns out for the English team, whether it be Bobby Charlton and Bobby Moore or Wallace and Grommet, we will always, ALWAYS have chance in the world cup! But why? The English national team continues to fail in every big tournament, its even been 18 years of further hurt since Skinner and Baddiel created their heart felt anthem about being hurt.

The question always is, are we underachieving or are we just not as good as we think? The English Premier League is renowned as the best footballing league in the world with the best talent and the most exciting football, so what is going wrong when it comes to those players representing their country? Well the problem could be that 1/3 of the premier league is made up of English players. In contrast, in the current World cup holder’s Spain’s top division, Spanish internationals account for 59% of the players.

In most footballing nations, if not all, this would present a huge issue but not with us. We want our cake and we also want to eat it. It is the year of the World Cup, in one of the hottest continents on the face of the earth, Brazil. This will probably be a huge issue for our fair skinned boys such as Wayne Rooney who’s infamous temper may get the better of him…again.

Out of our natural habitat and playing against the likes of Germany, Spain, Brazil and Argentina there is no reason at all to believe we can win this tournament, yet somewhere in the back of our minds, we believe we can do it! we will be there in the beer gardens, tutting our way to the front of an hour long queue for a beer whilst trying to keep your eyes on the drama as it unfolds. We will put up with the annoying bloke with the horn as he ferociously blows himself black and blue slowly but surely damaging your eardrum to the point of no return.

It doesn’t really matter how elegant the Spanish are or how efficient the Germans are or how much flair the Brazilians have. Our passion and misplaced belief outweighs any skill or tactics out there. So after a brief evaluation on our chances, surely these odds are worth a quid!.
